TaGMi Quick Start: Peace of Mind in 10 Minutes
Welcome to TaGMi! This simple guide will help you set up your 10-NTAG21x TaGMi Ecosystem BUNDLE and start protecting your child’s belongings immediately.
What’s in Your Box?
6× TaGMi Patches (iron‑on for fabrics)
4× TaGMi Dots (adhesive for hard surfaces)
Each tag features NXP NFC technology with 10‑year data retention
Before You Start: Turn ON NFC
Before you begin, make sure NFC is enabled on your phone. This allows you to scan the secure, encrypted TaGMi tags. Each tag acts like a locked digital ID that only TaGMi apps can read. Your personal information stays private in your account, while school wardens can quickly identify a lost item's owner with just a tap.
1️⃣ Download the TaGMi Parent App
iOS: Click the App Store icon for iPhone/iPad
Android: Click the Google Play icon for Android phones
Install “TaGMi Parent” and open the app.
Create your account using your email or phone number.
2️⃣ Register All 10 Tags in the App
Open the app and tap “Add New Item”
Hold your phone close to a tag until it beeps
Name the item (e.g., “School Blazer,” “Math Calculator”)
Add a photo if you like
Repeat for all 10 tags
3️⃣ Attach Tags Safely & Correctly
For Patches (Iron‑on):
Recommended Placement:
Boys: Inside collar or inner waistband
Girls: Inside sleeve or inner skirt/dress waistband
Application Steps:
Set iron to MEDIUM heat only – NO STEAM
Place patch on fabric only – not on plastic, leather, or badges
Cover with a thin cloth and press for 15 seconds max
Let cool completely before wearing
If glue hasn’t melted:
Wait for patch to cool completely
Repeat ironing once more for 10–15 seconds
Do not exceed two attempts – over‑ironing can damage fabric
For Dots (Adhesive):
Recommended Placement:
Laptops/Calculators: Inside battery cover or bottom edge
Water Bottles: Base or lower side
Lunch Boxes: Bottom or inner lid
Application Steps:
Clean surface thoroughly with an alcohol wipe
Peel backing fully and press firmly for 10 seconds
Wait 24 hours before washing or heavy use
⚠️ Important Safety Notes
Do not iron Patches on non‑fabric surfaces
Do not over‑iron (more than 20 seconds total)
Do not apply Dots to dirty, wet, or curved surfaces
Do not wash items within 24 hours of applying Dots
